Among the largest and most destructive of the "lesser" Dragonspawn, these Drakes are easily identified by the wicked truesteel blades that jut from the ends of their digits. Longer than t'lanarians [the curved longblades favored by Blade Weavers] and twice as sharp, these extrusions of their metallic skeletons give Blade Drakes their name. Blade Drakes dwell in the hearts of swamps and fens, where their thick, black scales quickly develop a green patina of algae. Proud, aggressive, and ferocious beyond measure, these Drakes spend decades or even centuries in deep slumber, buried in the filth and muck, then explode into wakefulness, butchering and devouring every living thing they see. Once their gluttonous hunger has been sated, they return to their slimy lairs to sleep again. The Lizard Men of the deep swamps worship Blade Drakes as gods, and often hurl sacrificial victims into the bogs where the terrors rest. Whether they offer these sacrifices to gain favor or merely keep the terrors sated remains unknown. Whirlwinds of destruction, Blade Drakes rely upon their namesake claws in battle, adding a devastating bite and powerful tail to their arsenal. As if these weapons were not enough, Bog Drakes can also belch forth great clouds of noxious vapor, caustic and poisonous in the extreme. Similar to marsh gas, this potent toxin has a secondary use as well. The gas is highly flammable - should a Blade Drake feel threatened, it will breathe a deadly cloud then hit its claws together, striking a spark and incinerating its foes in vast inferno.

深い沼沢のLizard ManたちはBlade Drakeたちを諸godとして崇拝し，しばしば生贄的な犠牲者たちを脅威たちが休む諸泥沼へ投げ入れる．かれらが生贄たちを提供するのが，贔屓を利得すためか単純に脅威たちを満たすためかは，未知として残されている．
