Born of the twisted power and mad will of Morloch the Fallen One, Sand Trolls were the Dark God's first attempt to create children of his own. Like Thurin and the All-Father before him, Morloch crafted his spawn from the stuff of Aerynth, but chose sand instead of earth or stone. Too mindless and savage for even Morloch's liking, he abandoned his first children to burn in the crucible of the Burning Lands, where they have since thrived. Sand Trolls were born of the shifting sands of the desert, and resemble hideous mockeries of Men or Elves, fouler even than Ogres to look upon. Poorly wrought, their bones are far too long for their limbs, and jut out from their joints in cruel hooks, barbs, and spurs. Strong as the desert wind and twice as ferocious, Sand Trolls are vicious predators who rend any living thing they come upon to pieces, and are prone to mauling and eating even each other. Like other Trolls, Sand Trolls are thickly infused with the taint of Chaos, and their flesh and sinews recover from injuries with uncanny speed. According to the tales of desert travelers who have fought these monstrosities and lived, the flesh of a Sand Troll flows back together almost as quickly as a blade can cut it.
