When the doom of Vorrdan All-Father shook the world and darkened the very sun, times grew dark in Uthgaard. The Dark Folk of the mountains came forth in hosts unknown since the time of Stark's landing, and all the outlying villages were burned, save this one. Here all the folks of Starkenvald stood as one, and the Karls of Starkholm came to our aid. The Dark Folk were beaten back, and Scraefahl was made into a mighty fortress to shelter all should they ever come again. Alas, this winter is long, and I fear that need may soon be upon us all. In the mountains the Dark Folk are moving.
ヴォアダンこと全父が死んだとき、大地は揺れて太陽は暗くなり、ウトガート島の状況は悪化しました。スタークが上陸し、勢力を築いたとき以来、初めて、山地から正体不明な邪鬼の群が現れました。そして、かれらによって、周辺の諸村は、ここスクレファール村を除いて、すべて焼き払われたのです。スクレファール村で、スターケンヴァルの住民たちは一致団結し、自由民たちは救援に駆けつけました。こうして邪鬼たちは追い出され、スクレファール村は、集まった人びとを保護する砦となりました。
残念ながら、今回の冬は長いため、わたしたち全員が困窮する恐れがあります。山地では、邪鬼たちが移動しているようです。
