Hothor is a name from legend, a mighty hero who long searched for Tharsir, the Thunderhammer of Herogar, Thane of Thanes. Long missing from Erkeng Hold, Hothor's fate was unknown to his kinsmen. Stark son of Sarjek left hearth and home, and led a mighty host into the sea. Here they landed of old, and here they found their answer. You see now the bleached wreck of Hothor's ships. Alas, he was slain by the Dark Folk of the mountains. Stark buried Hothor's bones in Starkholm, and we have feuded with the Dark Folk ever since. Be welcome, and find more comfort here than Hothor did of old!
伝説に名を残したホトーアは、至大氏族長であるヒーロガの雷槌、ターシアを長いあいだ探した、勇敢な英雄です。ホトーアがアーケン砦から出発したあと、かれの行方は、ホトーアの一族にさえもわからなくなりました。サーイェクの息子、スタークは、炉辺のある故郷から去り、軍勢を引き連れて海へ出ました。
昔に、スタークたちはここで上陸して、ホトーアの結末について知りました。あそこにあるがれきは、ホトーアが使っていた舟です。残念ながら、ホトーアは、山の邪鬼たちにより殺害されていました。スタークは、ホトーアの骨をスタークホルム市で埋めました。そして、わたしたちは、現在まで、邪鬼たちとの争いをつづけてきました。昔のホトーアと同じように、ここでくつろいで、疲れをとっていきなさい。
